Dr.Radha krishnan

For the first time in the recent past, the prestigious Nature journal has chosen an Indian working in India for its Top 10 scientists of the year. Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is one of the top scientists chosen by Nature for 2014, chosen for his role in the success of a diverse set of ISRO projects, including Mangalyaan.

Dr. Radhakrishnan has played a crucial role in many projects ranging from setting up India's tsunami warning system to developing remote sensing satellites. While he is happy to have made it to the list, Dr. Radhakrishnan's main delight was that it was another achievement that would attract young talent to ISRO. "These missions have been able to generate remarkable interest in the younger generation. If we are already able to attract the best brains in the country, these achievements provide a fillip to that." he said.
Dr. Radhakrishnan is set to retire at the end of the year, after which he plans to pursue his love for classical South Indian singing and dancing.

The Logical Indian Community Salutes Dr. Radhakrishnan!
