The 2015 competition is now open!

About Contest

ICTACT Youth is an initiative aimed at developing the youth in the colleges to become the next generation leaders by improving their abilities in communication, presentation and leadership skills.
ICTACT announces its first edition of Article writing contest for the first year graduating students. Through “ICTACT Youth Article Contest 2015”, ICTACT aims at identifying and recognizing the writing skills of students and publish the winning articles.
Though “Digital” has been the buzzword in the last several years, currently we find “Digital” everywhere. The word “Digital” has been associated with select industries in the past, but it is now associated with our nation through a stronger vision of “The Digital India”, which aims at empowering people and government with ICT enabled programs. Through this contest, ICTACT intends to encourage students to write their ideas, thoughts and solutions on the theme “The Digital World”.



Awards & Prizes

The contest aims at identifying the top 20 articles which will be released as a publication during the ICTACT’s flagship event ICTACT Bridge 2015 scheduled on 17 Feb 2015 at Chennai. The authors of top 20 articles will receive a Free Pass to participate in ICTACT Bridge 2015 conference @ Chennai. While all the top 20 will be recognized though a certificate, the top 3 would be awarded with awards and prizes.

Scope of the article

The article can be written on the areas related to any of the following titles under the theme “The Digital World”. These titles are only the broad areas and the individual may decide to come up with other innovative titles under the theme “The Digital World”.

Who Can Apply

Any student (from any degree) who is currently studying in the
first year of (under/post) graduation
in any recognized institution in India can apply.

Selection Process

The articles submitted will be assessed by a panel of experts of its originality of thought, novelty, applicability, potential value, and clarity and style of article.

Rules & Regulations

  • The contest is open to all the eligible students studying in India.
  • A student can submit only ONE article under the scope defined above in the theme given.
  • Article should be written by individual and group submission is not permitted.
  • The article should be an original script written by the contestant
  • Articles found to be copied from other source(s) will be rejected.
  • The article should be written in ENGLISH. The length of the essay should be no more than 600 words (about 2 pages).
  • Inclusion of appropriate figure or table is recommended – For external sources and tables, appropriate mention of source should be given.
  • The submission must be in both electronic (by email to editor.ictact@ictact.in , as an attachment) and hard copy submitted on or before 17 Jan 2015.
  • The winners will be announced in the website www.ictactyouth.in during the first week of Feb 2014.
  • All the articles will become the property of the ICTACT and they have (reserves) all rights to publish them appropriately for wider circulation.
  • The decision of the organizers will be final in the selection.
