Rohit Sharma's 264 is the highest score by a batsman in ODI cricket. He surpassed Virender Sehwag's record of 219 scored against West Indies in 2011. The highest score in ODI history is by Belinda Clark who scored 229 in the Women's World Cup against Denmark in 1997. 

2. First person to score two double centuries in ODI cricket

Rohit Sharma became the first batsman to score two double centuries in ODI cricket. He had scored his first double ton against Australia in November 2013 in Bengaluru.
